Try this easy 10 Minute Meditation to set Intention
Intention setting is a powerful process. Starting a new year this way can support you in gaining focus- having said that, I truly believe any time is a good time for this powerful process. Slowing down, checking in with yourself, and instead of life just “happening” you begin to take charge. You listen to what it is that you truly desire! In order to create the life you want, you have to know first what it is that you desire. It’s easy to miss those clues, and we tend to forget making time to listen to the whisper of our heart. Life is busy and we have created a world of technology that easily distracts us. Make time to zoom in on what you want and set Intention!
1. Find a quiet space and make sure you’re undistracted for at least 10 min: Get into a comfortable seated position, maybe prop yourself up with a pillow. Take five full breaths in and out of the nose.
2. Visualize: Begin to imagine white, healing light all around you. Feel like you’re wrapped in a warm blanket of light. Shift the light to your chest and heart centre. Feel your heart and connect with it deeply. Take five more deep breaths and visualize your heart filled with healing light.
3. Ask and journal: Ask your heart what it is that it truly desires? What makes it sing? Who do I want to be? Listen! Then begin to slot down what came up for you. Setting Intention is the first step on your journey to create an authentic and joyful life.
