Delish 1 Ingredient Sugar Free Ice Cream or Smoothie
It’s that time a year again to enjoy a frozen treat on those hot days! I truly enjoy ice cream and so do my kids, so I was searching for some easy to make recipes that don’t require an ice cream maker. Here is one of my faves:
Banana Ice Cream
(optional cinnamon, cocoa powder, nuts or nut butter, other frozen/ fresh fruit like strawberries or blueberries, chopped mint)
Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
1. Add bananas to a food processor and blend until smooth, approx. 3-5 minutes. Add some milk or nut milk for a creamier texture.
2. Occasionally scrape down the sides and continue to blend until smooth. Add optional ingredients if desired and blend for 1 minute.
Enjoy immediately as a soft serve or add more milk or yoghurt for a smoothie! For firmer ice cream, place in an airtight freezer-safe container or popsicle molds and freeze for at least one hour.
Get Creative: Try adding 1/4 cup of fresh chopped mint and 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips for an amazing Banana-Mint-Chocolate treat!
